Bolin Marketing’s White Room Productions wins Mom’s Choice Award for Concert DVD

MINNEAPOLIS (05/05/10) — White Room Productions, the video/audio department within Bolin Marketing, has received a Mom’s Choice award for their work on the Teddy Bear Band (TBB) concert video. The Mom’s Choice Awards honor the best in family-friendly media, products and services, and are based on overall quality, design, education value, entertainment value, originality, appeal and cost. The four-camera production, shot in 2009, was honored by the Mom’s Choice award panel in early 2010.

Bolin’s White Room group shot, edited and produced the live performance concert DVD, entitled “You’re in the Show”. This year, the band is celebrating twenty five years of entertaining kids and families.

“White Room was able to capture the energy and fun of our music, while highlighting our main focus, engaging kids through participation!” said Richard Erickson, Founder and Manager of TBB.

Scott Bolin, Chief Creative Officer at Bolin - and TBB keyboardist - explains his involvement in the project.

“From a marketing perspective, seeing, hearing and experiencing TBB on DVD is the best way to communicates what the band is all about. And as a video editor and musician, I’ve always been frustrated with videos that aren’t true to the music –a guitar playing a lead, while the video shows strumming, or seeing drums out of sync.”

White Room Producer, Marty Walter, authored the DVD, adding special features such as photo slide shows, and instructional sections for parents and teachers. In addition to earning this Mom’s Choice Award, Bolin has been busy marketing to Moms with a unique Facebook contest for their Edward Desserts client, and targeting Moms with new websites for Schwan’s pizza brands Tony’s, Red Baron, and Freschetta.
