NEW YORK, NY
On June 7, Bolin VP Creative + User Experience Mike Kraabel presented to a capacity crowd at the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s 2017 Marketing Conference in New York. The conference featured speakers from various segments of the travel industry addressing the timely conference theme of “Marketing in Times of Global Uncertainty.” Kraabel’s presentation focused on the multitude of choices consumers make and the paralysis that often arises out of fear and uncertainty. The audience of tourism ministers, directors and managers of member Caribbean destination marketing organizations were challenged to consider strategies around the use of escapism, mapping the customer experience, simplifying the planning process and embracing modern marketing techniques such as marketing automation. Finally, Kraabel endorsed the benefits of a structured, proactive and strategic approach to using influencers as a means to enhanced DMO content authenticity.
