Working on both sides of the Atlantic, Frank has developed more than a really cool accent. He has built brands across categories, among them Agfa, Dow Chemical, KFC, Kohler and Yamaha. After joining Andersen Windows as Creative Director, he assumed the role of Director of Communications and was later named Director of Marketing. Frank has lectured at the American Crafts Museum, Chicago Art Institute and the Royal Academy in Belgium. His work has been published in Adweek, Print, and in Europe I.D. and Moebius. He has won a Silver Effie and the Prix de Jeunesse. He made GraphicDesign USA’s annual list of trendsetters.
What’s your dream job?
It’s a toss up between coach of the Belgian soccer team or set designer for the Metropolitan Opera

How do you spark creativity?
I try to get enough sleep. After that it really is more about transpiration than inspiration.

Alexander the Great, Lou Von Salome, Man Ray and Leonardo
What would you serve?
Brussels sprouts, goulash and boiled potatoes
What sound do you love?
The sound of my dog sighing as he gets comfortable for a nap
What was your first job?
I was twelve and repaired bicycle tires at my uncle’s bike-shop.
What did it teach you?
It taught me two valuable lessons: 1. Sometimes it is better to repair than reinvent. 2. Get the glue off your hands before lunch.
